Yes, a flexible plastic ducting piece is included with each range hood that will stretch out to about 5 ft long. Any additional ducting that is needed for your installation will have to be purchased from a local hardware store.

Yes, the ducting can be replaced with a ridged metal ducting that is purchased from a local hardware store.

For an efficient pull on your range hood, we recommend to keep the ductwork vertical at least 15" before making your first elbow. Only the following under cabinet range hood series can be converted to rear-ducting: 520, 523, and 527.

Most ZLINE wall mounted range hoods feature the option to be converted to ductless (or recirculating). If the range hood is convertible, all that is needed for stainless steel models is a set of ZLINE Charcoal Filters. However, for select convertible designer series models, an additional compatible vented crown molding will need to be ordered as well.

Need further assistance with ductless range hood options? Fill out our contact form for assistance from the ZLINE Customer Department team.

For sloped or slanted ceilings, we recommend for customers to have the chimney piece custom cut at an angle, or there is the option of building a soffit down from the ceiling in order to mount the range hood on a flat surface.

You may paint your wooden range hood, however, the different areas of the hood are more porous than others so when you stain it, it will look different in some areas and won’t be a smooth stain. This may cause it to look discolored in some parts, so we don't recommend staining our wood hoods.

ZLINE Induction cooktops use utilize electromagnetic technology to achieve its incredibly fast and evenly distributed heat. Read more about ZLINE induction cooking on the ZLINE Blog.

Yes, the back bar of a ZLINE range top or range can be lowered by following the Island Conversion Procedure instructions found here.

To clean your cooktop we recommend using warm, soapy water applied with a soft sponge or towel. Be sure to avoid using abrasive cleaning solutions or tools, as well as leaving acid-based substances on the range's enamel.

Dual fuel ranges are stoves that feature an oven that uses an electrical connection and a stovetop that uses a gas connection, whereas gas-on-gas has a gas connection for both the oven and stovetop.

Our ranges only have two heating elements at the top and bottom of the oven. Since our ovens don't have a third heating element in the middle, it is not considered True Convection, or European Convection.

Brass burners offer superior heat retention and heat spreads more evenly. They'll often times have a longer lifespan than traditional burners as well.
